Charlie goes to our local county fair....

Charlie, Victor and I went to the Washington County Fair this afternoon. The weather was perfect -- low 70's and overcast. We met up with Grandma & Grandpa Green.

We watched some doggies trying to retrieve their prize before they jump into the water.

This black lab almost made it!

Charlie finally gets moved into her own room!

It finally happened....Kathy cleared out Charlie's crib and she slept in her own "bed" Wednesday night. She went down around 10:30pm and didn't stir until 6am the following morning. As long as we make sure goes to bed a happy "full" baby, she's been sleeping until 6-8am YIPPY! She's upstairs taking a nap right now, so I grabbed my camera and took a picture of what she generally looks like when she's down for the night. Unless she's SO tired that she doesn't notice, she usually kicks her blanket off of her and she just sleeps with her little onsie and that's it!

Here's Victor playing superbaby with her....luckily she hadn't eatten in quite some time, otherwise I think daddy would have ended up with Charlie's lunch all over him.

Charlie attends her first Mary Kay & Pampered Chef parties

Charlie had a busy weekend. Grandma & grandpa Green babysat her all day on Saturday so mommy could attend her quarterly CTMH team meeting in Salem. She did great, despite the hot/humid temps.

Sunday, she went with mommy to a Debbie Woodall's Mary Kay launch party. Here Charlie is with Debbie's daughter Rachel. Rachel was great and babysat Charlie the entire time.

Monday, Charlie went with mommy to Pizza Roma to meet her mommy's friend, Nicole before her Relay For Life meeting with Capi & Rachel.

Here's Charlie looking pretty darn cute in her car seat.

Here's Charlie with Nicole.

Monday night, Charlie & Kathy attended her friend Maureen's Pampered Chef Party. Charlie was a little angel, cracking everyone up with her giggles and smiles. Then she decided she was hungry AGAIN and had a minor melt-down...nothing a bottle didn't cure.

Tuesday...BIG NEWS....Mommy actually gave Charlie her bath. I of course couldn't take picture of myself giving her the bath, but I did it..FINALLY....We both did great! Here's a picture of her BEFORE the bath with her carseat head!!!

Tuesday late afternoon we piled in the car and went to our Hillsboro Tuesday Farmers Market for dinner. Charlie & Victor outside at the Farmers Market....This is the 3rd Tuesday we've all 3 gone for dinner.

Charlie's first ART Garage Sale and Grandma Green babysits....

It's been a busy couple of days for little Miss Charlotte and her mommy! She spent 5 1/2 hours at Grandma Green's house on Thursday being babysat (while mommy held a Close To My Heart scrapbooking gathering). It's the first time Grandma has babysat with just her and Charlotte! Both Charlotte and Grandma survived!

Friday Charlotte, my friend Rosemary and I went on a little adventure to downtown Portland (to see a friend's quilt shop)...On the way we stopped at my friend Jennifer & Don Campbell's Art garage sale. Jennifer & Don own Life inColour inc. http://www.lifeincolour.net/ and do AMAZING murals and faux finishes in homes and businesses in the Portland/SW Washington State area...check out their samples via their website when you get a chance. Jennifer is also a professional organizer and used that "hobby" to start another business a little over a year ago. http://www.theartoforganizing.net/art.html We stopped by their home this morning to check out their Art garage sale and more importantly so little Miss Charlotte could meet both of them.

Game night @Karen & Dave's---plus more photos!!!

Dave & Karen Henkemeyer (our friends out in Forest Grove) hosted game night on Friday for Kim/Andy & Amy Rohr along with Victor, Charlie & I. Both Karen & Kim are expected their second children in September (both girls)..can't wait to meet the new munchkins!

Karen, Gabe & Charlie having fun before dinner.

Victor & Dave were a little more serious about this particular game than Andy and the girls!

MORE Charlie photos....

Charlie hanging out in her baby Einstein activity gym...she loves the sea turtle & FISH!!!

Charlie doing what she does best....sleeping in daddy's arms!

Waiting at Babies-R-Us to get Charlie's 2 month photos.....

And waiting.......

And waiting.....

Actually it did take 2 1/2 hours (mainly because of the queue of parents that took FOREVER to pick out which photos they wanted printed). But you do actually GET your photos the same day, versus other studios that take a couple of weeks. We got 2 really good shots of Charlie (she was SO cute)...the photographer was a little surprised to see how much she'd grown since we took her in at 9 days old for her baby announcements!

Finally put Charlie into the light weight stroller from Kellie & Tim. It matched her little outfit, so we had to try it out!

Hey DAD...could ya go a little FASTER please???

Charlie is in the 95% percentile at her 2 month check-up!!!

Just got back from Charlotte's 2 month check-up! This was right BEFORE her 4 shots...I didn't have the heart to take a photo AFTER...it wasn't pretty. She screamed for a few minutes, then daddy got smart and we put a bottle in her mouth and she's been sound asleep for the past 30 minutes in her car seat!

I knew she was getting heavy...girlfriend weighed in at 14 lbs 6 oz and she's 24 3/4 inches tall..holy cow, she's in the 95% percentile for both! Her head measures 39 cm which puts her in the 50%.....I'm not big on percentiles, but a few people had asked, so now we know.

She was great at the doctor's office today. She smiled and talked quite a bit for both the nurse and her doctor...such a good baby girl!!!

Charlie and her BUMBO -- coolest new thing for baby!!!

Check out my newest purchase for Charlie! It's called a Bumbo! I'd never heard of it until about 2 weeks ago. Doralisa saw it on a scrapbooker's Blog and sent it on to me.....Charlie's neck isn't quite strong enough to sit on her own "YET"...but that day is coming SOON! Apparently Target can't keep them on the shelves and I just happened to run into a lady with a 3 month old boy (who was much smaller than Charlie) and had asked the clerk at Target if they had any in stock...they had 2. A blue one for her son and a purple one for my little girl! This is now my new favorite shower gift!!!

Check out their website...the company is located in Gauteng, South Africa www.bumbobabysitter.com

Charlie goes a quilting with mommy!!!

We are back from Sisters, Oregon! Charlie went with me and 4 of my quilting buddies most of the week. Ginger, Melissa, Viv & Andy are to the right of Charlie & I outside the house we rent each summer at Black Butte Ranch.

We started off on Sunday, July 2nd driving over to Central Oregon. On the way, we stopped off at my friend Andy's sister Sarah's house in Sublimity, Oregon. Sarah and her husband Lonnie live on 10 acres and are dabbling in raising long horn steer. Melissa was brave enough to ride one of them named Nemo. Charlie was a great little girl. She slept all the way to Mill City (where we stopped to have lunch), then slept an additional 1 1/2 hours until we arrived in Black Butte Ranch (where we rent a our house each year during the quilt show week in Sisters).

Charlie spent Monday, July 3rd with all of us shopping at the local central Oregon quilt shops. Here she is with Ginger at the Stitchin' Post. Gotta train her young on how to pick out fabric!!!

Daddy wasn't with us, so the aunties gave Charlie a bath. Mommy just supervised and helped wash her hair (or at least poored water over her head and accidently into her little eyes -- whoops, just like at home)! Viv was nice enough to empty out her Rubbermaid fabric holding container to use as a make shift bathtub.
