Thankful for the easy/good days...

Today was a rubber boots type of day.  The leaves are changing and because it has been SO NICE, they are coming off faster than most of us would like.

Charlotte was GREAT tonight.  No issues with homework, reading and she ATE the clam chowder tonight....in fact it was HER suggestion!!!

Home work...

I love homework time after school on non-CrossFit/Gymnastics nights!

New reading program on the iPad.  She can track/read/take comprehension quizzes online and  both her teacher and Victor and I can see what she's up to!

Very first HOMEWORK assignments...

Charlotte brought home her first homework assignment on Friday. We explained the IMPORTANCE of getting your homework done and NOT waiting until the night before it's due. Something I'm sure we will say and remind her like a ZILLION times in the next 13 years...

Here's a short video of her cutting out the fabric dress herself. She picked out the fabric, decided on what buttons, EVERYTHING on her own. The only "coaching" I did was explaining the best way to trace out the dress using the paper doll she had already cut out as the template.

She went a little nutso on the hair (and she has 5 purple toes on the left and 5 pink toes that you can't see on the right), but it's ALL her and THAT is what matters the mostest!

Oh and the last photo is Charlotte talking to my mom about her homework assignment and her second day of school, since we didn't actually see mom on Friday.
