Wrapping up another great weekend...

Another fun weekend is in the books! I had a 3-hour Relay Council meeting on Friday afternoon...so excited about my new role and folks I get to work with more!

Victor and I had a FUN date night dinner and Chicago Friday night.  My friend James (high school) was amazing as Billy Flynn!  The entire production was FUN!

Saturday we spent the morning at Hillsboro's Bark For Life...the doggies were nervous, but really good!  Then lunch with Daddy before he headed off for gaming...Charlie and I ran some errands and then girl time Saturday night...

Sunday was SUPPOSE to be for a bit of sleeping in, but somebody decided to set her alarm clock and woke-up at 6:30am...we had a good day, lunch with my folks and Charlie's friend Elisabeth's birthday party...shower for the kiddo, reading and just waiting for daddy to get home from work.

This is the last calm weekend for the foreseeable future and I feel rested and blessed!

Ten on Tuesday...

Having trouble blogging much as of late....Need to continue working on that! We had a great weekend! SUNSHINE, swimming and OVO...it was great! Here are some cellphone photos of what we did!

Saturday night, she was being a little defiant..she finally fell asleep and before she did, she snuck and put on her WINTER coat and was snoring when I went to check on her in THIS coat!

Last Wednesday all 13 of us in the area got together for a short get together & mom/dad's house. A couple hours of catching up, laughter, too much pizza and FUN! Love my Greens!

Saturday I spent a few hours in Salem with a great bunch of Relayers.  Jamie & Brooks girls are working on flushing out cancer!

Friday started off EARLY....Dropped off the Green Family Unit at 0600at PDX...great time and they made it safely home!

6th blogiversary...

Hard to believe, but I started this little blog exactly 6 years and 2,417 entries ago today!

I had been blogging for a year or so before this one, but have since removed that blog when I decided to do this one.  The intent was totally to capture the life and times of our little Charlie!  I had even put her full-name on it, before Victor and I let others know her name or that we were going to be doing a blog.

I've tried to be fairly consistent and was doing fairly well at that, until Facebook came along in my life.  I like updating Facebook and it gets old at times doing both, but this is where I really need to focus.  I think Charlie will (hopefully) really appreciate the fact we've capture so many moments of her life/adventures/photos on this blog.  It's morphed into more than just HER life and I'm SO glad I've done it...When I want to remember when/where/how/who we did something, 95% of the time, it's probably on the blog, with some photos to go along with it.

This photo from October 2006 is one of my top 10 photos of Charlie and it was our Christmas photo that year.  95% of the time she is a HAPPY/SMILEY kiddo, which this photo totally embodies!

Us...

We never manage to get photos of just the two of us. Jack took this one of us Saturday night at my parent's home. Hard to believe we've been together for 7 years...our first date was March 27, 2005...best 7 years of our lives! We are blessed!

Counsins!

My brother & his family arrived from San Diego to spend the week with my folks! First stop, RED ROBIN of course for lunch, it's tradition and you don't mess with tradition!

Funny note...Dad got mom all into the Yukon to head to the airport and when he went to start the car, NADA! Dead battery...so, they got mom back out of the Yukon, called the towing company to get the Yukon to Les Schwab for a new battery...I was on stand-by to leave work and head to PDX.

Victor's car was also at Les Schwab getting new front breaks/rotars....So, Victor, Charlie and I got his car back, went to pick-up mom and met dad and the Green Family Unit for lunch!  Mom didn't have any issues getting into my Highlander and didn't critique my driving either!  First time she's been in my car since they day of the crash....

Yesterday was a very good day!

A new favorite blog...

I discovered this blog and LOVE IT!!!

Amy was running a blog scavenger hunt today and when folks were suppose to be submitting their final answers, her website crashed....Over loaded is an understatement!

I "THINK" I figured out the sentence(s) tonight and I will be submitting my answer at exactly 1pm EST tomorrow in hopes that I'll win Victor one of these beauties!

Put a bird on it - COMPLETE!!!

It wasn't that hard at all....even sewing on the wings and little beak, just took some time and patience! Next up, PURPLE that I bought on the Yarn Crawl...yahoo! Feels SO GOOD to complete something new...I'm the best little starter in the world, must work on FINISHING more things I start!

Knitting in the park (Portlandia style)...

I think it actually got up to 65 degrees today and it was SUNNY!   I was inside until after 5pm, so as soon as I picked up Charlie from daycare, we went straight to the bigger park close by.  Ran around like a crazy maniac and I knitted.  

Charlie loves this park...especially in the summer when she can play in the cool water feature.

Progress on the bird I started yesterday.  It was a kit from the wonderful shop Happy Knits that I purchased last month during the Yarn Crawl.  They totally capitalized on the tv show Portlandia's theme of "Put a bird on it"....can wait to get er done!

Even more progress.  While I watched our Jayhawks not win the National Title, I got this little guy's body done!  Next up are wings, beak and eyes!  I'm gonna "put a bird on it"....

Tooth Fairy...

She woke me up to let me know that the Tooth Fairy had paid her a visit last night. She also told Victor (when he got home from work) that the Tooth Fairy had knocked it on the floor...yeah, little Miss Charlie did that all on her own.

That is a cute little letter from the Tooth Fairies and the going rate for a first tooth is two dollars!  Just if you wanted to know....
