Jill and Dan got married...

We were honored to be included in Jill/Dan's wedding reception.  There wasn't enough room for everyone to attend the wedding and it ended up only lasting about 90 seconds anyway.

Great to hang with a lot of our favorite Relay peeps tonight!  Charlotte even caught the bouquet, mainly because she went charging after it after Jill tossed it over all the girls heads!

Sam and Logan got married 9.8.12...

My friend Leann's daughter Sam and her fiance Logan got married on Saturday! It was a wonderful celebration of two young people joining together in marriage! I've known Sam for 6+ years and remember her as a senior in high school, not just donating her hair for a wig, but also SHAVING her head in support of a dear friend going thru chemo/radiation!

It was a fairly quick, but special ceremony and then we pretty much were ushered out (I think the chapel must have had another wedding soon after)....

Too many funnies to list them all...the biggest one was once we got to the community center where the reception was being held, Leann got all us Relay-girls and said "all hands on deck in the kitchen"...I've done something I've NEVER done before...I helped make kabobs (veggie & meat) for 2+ hours...it was a hoot seeing all of us in dresses (or at least Cheryl and I who don't normally wear dresses) in the back with latex gloves on putting fruit/meat on a stick...it was FUN!!!

Great reception and a fun way for Sam and Logan to start their lives and husband and wife together!  Charlie had a BLAST and ended up in way too many photos and she wasn't part of the wedding party....

Very grateful to have the Komm and now Cook family in our lives!

Happy 44th Anniversary Mom & Dad...

It took my Aunt Jan a little bit of scanning of old slides and using my grandpa's old slide projector..but she found some of the only known pictures of my parent's wedding 44 years ago!

Their wedding photographer messed up their photos, so these photos that my grandpa took are the only ones we have. Kinda funny...my aunt said the photographer was in one of the photos and she cut her out! Thanks Aunt Jan for getting these for me!

Jennie and Chad's wedding...

I've known Jennie for 5+ years....we actually were both at the first Hillsboro Relay in 2003, we just didn't end up meeting until a few years later...

Jennie's mom Gail is a colon cancer survivor, 10+ years. We all Relay together and they'll be joining us this year in Beaverton (Jennie made sure to tell me that last night as we were saying goodnight).

Jennie and Chad met online and I am happy to say that Victor and I had a "small" part in encouraging Jennie to take a chance...it worked for us!

CONGRATS Jennie and Chad. It was a beautiful ceremony and we had a blast at the reception...If Victor hadn't had to go to work this morning, we would have stayed much later...Charlie danced her tail off last night and made some new little friends. Thank you for inviting us to be a part of YOUR day!

Libby & Jobe got married...

It was a hot one here in Portland today, but Columbia Park was actually quite pleasant to attend a beautiful wedding!

Libby is my Relay Council buddy and I was honored to be invited to the party!

Photos are just from my cellphone..I thought I was gonna be out in the sun, so I left my camera at home...probably a good thing, just hung out and had FUN!

Libby's brother BJ is in the military and wasn't totally able to be there in person, so Libby had the next best thing...a life size cut out...LOVED IT! He was also in charge of the rings!

Great day for a great couple! Congrats to Libby & Jobe!

Julianna & Damian's wedding...

We went to a lovely wedding last night out on Sauvie Island. Yes, it was 95 degrees yesterday, but by the time the wedding actually started (about 30 mins late), it wasn't too hot and a nice breeze was keeping us cool.

Charlie had a BLAST, especially hanging out with two new little friends.

Despite Damian getting into a very serious sand buggy accident a few weeks ago (hence the cast on his left arm), Julianna's Maid of Honor having her leg in a walking cast and the minister that was suppose to marry them having a heart attack the day before (a prayer was said for him before ceremony), things went off beautifully.

THANK YOU Julianna & Damian for inviting us to YOUR DAY! We had a wonderful time!
