Post #600 & Wii for Relay

I don't have any photos tonight (I know, what's wrong with me)? I got to have lunch with Charlotte & Victor today. When I got home from work, we had dinner, then hung out until I went to my monthly WeBees quilt group meeting.

Charlotte was fast asleep tonight when I got home. I was afraid to take a photo and wake her up since she seemed to be moving around a bit in her crib.

Anyway, post #600 is here--how did that happen? I don't want to even think about all the time I've spent posting to this blog, but I'm so happy I've been pretty dedicated to updating it daily. Hopefully Charlotte will be too someday.

Wanted to give a shout out to my friend Dave H. Dave and his work buddy Stacey took 2nd place at the Intel Wii Charity Tournament today! YEAH Dave & Stacey! I didn't get to go see it in person, but I'm pretty excited he made it to the final championship game! The really cool thing....Dave got to talk about the charity he was donating his prize money to (Relay For Life). The 2nd place winners both got $100 each for the charity of their choice. Both Dave's mom and sister have been battling breast cancer, so Relay (American Cancer Society) is near & dear to Dave! Dave his wife Karen won't be able to attend Relay this year due to a family wedding in Minnesota (saying that with my best MN accent), but Dave is working on setting up a Wii Relay FUNdraiser at their home sometime in the coming months.

Where Did Charlotte Go???

This was a first...normally her head is buried in the corner of her crib. Today, she pretty much just covered up most of her body when she was taking her afternoon nap.

After saying her name a couple of times to wake her up....she flipped into this position.

Finally we convinced her to come out of her cocoon. 99% of the time, she wakes up HAPPY and smiling! We are forever grateful for that!

Wacky Spring Weather in Oregon

I've lived in this state since I was 6 years old. The weather the last few weeks has been wacky at best! Today Charlotte and I encountered...snow flurries, bright sunshine, pouring rain, a torrential hail storm and more sun. We spent most of the early afternoon in Beaverton, got caught in yet another hail storm and drove home (she fell asleep on the way--thank you kiddo of mine). After letting the poopies outside (while it was sunny), I got Charlotte into her crib, then I took a 2 hour nap while she was sleeping. When we woke-up, it was sunny again, but there were little pellets of hail all over the deck--1 1/2 hours later there are still pellets of hail on the back deck.....I'm SO ready for summer! Bring on the sun!

Here are Cujo and his sister Cuja! I crack myself up sometimes! Actually Murphy & Jessie have been good little doggies. We just can't wait for dryer weather so they won't turn brown/green every time we let them outside. We are all tired of wet dogs and can't wait for dryer/warmer weather.

Kellie sent me a couple photos of Jack & Kaylie from Easter. It was 80+ degrees down in their neck of So. CA last weekend. They enjoyed Easter dinner in their backyard -- LUCKY! Can't believe just how grown-up these two are getting! Miss you guys! Love Aunt Kaffy

Friday Night Fun......

My lame attempt to get Charlotte & I in a photo together...she was having way too much fun tonight with photos & grapes! When I use my SLR camera, she knows she's NOT allowed to touch...now I just need to figure out how to get us both into the frame without having to use my tripod.

Got a couple of really cute photos tonight while Charlotte was eating grapes (after getting her bib to put on because of all the mess she makes while eating/slobbering all over the place). When she wants to eat grapes, she points and then goes over to the cabinet drawer with her bibs, takes one out, then attempts to put the bib on herself. It's rather entertaining to watch!

Bees and Bubbles...Oh My!!!

I finally got her to agree to wear the Bee hat!!! She wanted to go outside and blow bubbles, but it's mighty chilly out. She got her boots, socks and coat for me to help her put on. Then I said "not without a hat" and put it on her head! She just smiled and we went for a walk outside.

We probably would have lasted more than 10 minutes, but it really is chilly/windy outside. The snow level is suppose to drop tonight, so most likely we'll see a few snow flakes tonight.

Here are a few of the photos I took this afternoon. I just love the little bee rain jacket & boots we found for her--and the hat I made too! It still needs antennas.

She didn't take a real nap (again) today....she fell asleep on Victor's lap as they were watching MASH.......

Monday Fun at the Little Gym

Normally on Monday mornings it's just Charlotte & Victor that go to class. Today Grandma Green and I both got to attend. Charlotte loves this place. Victor normally gets here there 30 minutes early so she has time to get acclimated and hang out before class begins. Here she is hanging on the bar. She's getting stronger & stronger each week.

Happy Easter

Here are Charlotte & Grandpa coloring while we were waiting for our breakfast this morning. We went with mom & dad to church. Charlotte went to their amazing babysitting area and I was given a pager (just in case). Well about 15 minutes into the service, the pager went off. Mom & I went downstairs to check on her. She was okay--just a little upset...she was wanting water, but they didn't know what she was "signing" for. Once she got her water and Grandma stayed behind to hang out with her, she had a great time.

I really like my Bee book from Zuzu! It's got a little place for me to hold onto at the top of the bee.

Grandma & Charlotte Hanging Out Tonight

Somebody, Charlotte Frances, didn't take a nap again today. When we got home from the mountain, she was pretty sleepy. She woke-up long enough to eat dinner, run around with Grandpa, then she slowed down and sat with Grandma a little while before going to bed.

Thanks again mom & dad for watching Charlotte for us today! We (along with Suz/Shawn/Tyler/Glenn & Paige) really appreciate it.

693 Photos of Inner Tubing FUN!!!

No, I'm not posting 693 photos...but between 3 of us with my camera, 693 photos were taken today....took me 30 minutes just to download the photos.....another 2+ hours to update the blog tonight!

Seven of us on this trip. Victor & I. Shawn, Susie & Tyler. Glenn & Paige. We had a great 5+ hours of inner tubing, then a nice little drive up to Timerline Lodge...we had a blast! Thanks you guys for going today....can't wait until next season!

Mom & dad were good enough to watch Charlie for us today. After our last trip to the mountain, we decided we might as well call on the best babysitters in the world to hang out with her all day.
