Since we never seem to get photos of the two of us, glad the Wee Bee loves to take photos with my phone. Enjoying a nice long/relaxing weekend (or at least 2.5 days) with just the three of us...Love my family!
This is THE place to find out all about what's happening in Cinaland with Charlotte, her family & friends all over the United States and beyond...

School starts on Wednesday...
We went to Charlotte's ice cream social tonight at school. We got to meet her first grade teacher, Ms. O'Brien. Quite a few of her buddies from Kindergarten are also in her class. So excited and can't quite believe we have a 'grader'...summer is almost over...2012, it's been a very, VERY good year! So thankful!

Ten On Tuesday...
- School starts in a week, she'll be a 'grader'...first grader!
- All the events I helped out with in August went off for the most part without a hitch!
- I feel like I can breath for the first time all summer... :)
- The kiddo SWAM for the first time on her own in class last week - YAHOO!
- Mom's walking more and more with just her cane while in the house - double YAHOO!
- PTC was awesome, hopefully I'll be able to do again next summer if my schedule works out.
- We are going to Florida in November!!!
- My head is swimming with so many fundraising ideas, but I can't start ANYTHING new!
- I actually said "no" to something somebody at work asked me be a part of next month...just no time or passion and must say no to things I have no room for in my life.
- My hubby is the GREATEST!!!

Portland To Coast 2012...
I did Portland To Coast again this year. I had a fun time last year, but the team I was on wasn't totally sure if they were going to do it again, the cut off was coming up and Libby asked me and I said yes (and paid) before they knew they were going to do it. I knew more of the folks on this team...all from Relay in Vancouver.
I didn't train at all this year, but I did FUNdraise. Our Team raised over $6,500 for ACS, which is amazing considering that most of us had FUNraised our tails off and had our Relays in the past 6 weeks...Our PTC "Peas Lettuce Find A Cure" quilt raised $2,204 for ACS...Congrats to Marlene K. in Canada for having the winning ticket drawn! :)
Unlike last year, we ALL started together at the Hawthorne Bridge do send off our first walker...Libby made the signs to hold up for all our friends/family who supported us emotionally and financially thru FUNdraising!
PTC is 24 walking legs of approximately 4-8 miles that each total 130 miles...my legs were easy this year and I had the honor of crossing the finish line with our timing chip...
We had NO injuries. NO wrong exchange stops. NO lost people and only one 30 second missed transfer....I got kneed (accidently) in the face by one of my team mates...Didn't close one of the Honey Buckets I was in at the beach and scared the stuffing out of some poor lade and Libby and I got shut into the murphy bed....it was all GREAT!
Most importantly, we had FUN and it was all for a great cause that we are all so passionate about! Helping find a cure for cancer!

Great Place To Run 08.22.12...
Last year, I was a participant and gave some constructive input for improvements...Then I was asked if I'd like to help out a little more...which turned into being on the Race Planning Committee...
We had 3,000 participants registered and we couldn't have asked for better weather.
After all the little hick-ups,things turned out great! Folks had a wonderful time and that's all that matters! Loved working with Mel, Sophia, Susan and Tiffiny! I'm in for 2013!

AFO Summer Picnic 8.11.12...
Sometime back in April my boss told/asked me to start working on our fab's summer picnic....In my 24+ years at Intel, I've never attended a summer picnic, let alone planned one...I was lucky enough to get a nice enough budget to have it at Oaks Park. The folks there were FANTASTIC to work with and then some!
We had our first picnic on 8/5/12, I asked Rosemary & Mary to help me with registration and day of set-up, etc...they were awesome as always! Our second picnic was on 8/11/12 and that was when Victor's shift was going, so the entire family got to attend. Once again I asked Rosemary & Mary if they would like to help...they had so much fun the first time, they were willing/able to do it again! Love my friends! Mary brought Mark to help out too!
600 folks the first picnic, around 600 on the second one. EVERYBODY had a great time, especially all the kiddos and that's all I cared about! I LOVE that our company does really care about all the employees and having their family as part of it is a HUGE piece of making Intel a GREAT PLACE TO WORK!!!

Andrew & Lara...
It's been 10 years since I've seen my 2nd cousin Andrew. My dad and his dad Bruce are 1st cousins...Andrew's paternal Grandma Sarah, my great-aunt Sarah just turned 100 in May...we missed her centennial celebration in San Diego, we were in AZ.
Andrew and Lara are here in Portland (work seminars and vacation) and taking in ALL the sights! We spent 4+ hours up and mom & dad's together last night...it was great!
They are expecting their first child (a girl) in November....so excite for them!

FGHS Class of '87 - 25th reunion...
Had a really good time last night with the class of 1987. There were over 50 of us there. A few folks brought their spouses or significant others. I hadn't attended a reunion since '97 and it was good to see so many familiar faces. A big thanks to Janeen and Danielle who put it together, DUG OUT our senior photos and had us all wear name tags - it helped!
You can't go back, but you CAN have fun strolling down memory lane and catching up!
