Outdoors In...

Amanda, Jennifer and I had planned a play date for today HOPING that we'd be able to go to the zoo...Well, mother nature had other plans...

Since Ashlyn and Tyler are both still wee ones, we decided to go to Outdoors In, a local indoor play ground, that is more small kid friendly than Out Of This World.

The kiddos had a great time and after they close at noon, the nine of us walked down the block and had lunch at Taco Del Mar.

Great day with awesome peeps!

Tyler, Charlie, Olivia, Noelle, Ashlyn and Andi...they thought it was funny that I was out in the rain, while taking this photo...me, not so much!

Winding down after a busy day...

I'm home from a long/GOOD Relay Council meeting...trying to unwind from a busy day. Charlie had a fun filled day. 4 hours up at Nana/Papa's house and helped "supervise" the fruit trees being pruned in my parent's orchard. She was a good girl and Nana said they had fun time while she was there....

This photo is actually from Tuesday night (which I was too tired Tuesday night to post anything). Rachel watched Charlie for a few hours while I was at Relay event venue meeting with Nicki & Dean -- I LOVE the field at Valley Catholic High School). We got a lot of questions answered and we were able to see just how great this facility is (no porta potties needed and REAL showers with individual stalls--LOVE IT)!!! So many Relays actually have to bring in porta potties for their events...we are spoiled!

Anyway, Tuesday night Rachel & I were able to actually TALK and the kiddos of course got along great. Rach made us dinner (although the 3 amigos rejected it and ended up eating mac & cheese), I thought dinner was great. Charlie and I also got to watch part of HSM2 (High School Musical 2)...we of course haven't seen ANY of the HSM phenoenom, so it was "entertaining" to say the least...especially watching Maddy sing ALL the songs by heart...not bad for an almost 5 year old.

Why I smiled today...received a great email update from Jenny who's still down in Central America...good times are still being had in her many travel adventures! ;-)

Monday night fun with Matthew & Maddie...

Why I smiled today...A fun, albeit chaotic evening at Rachel's house. Charlie DID have a great time, she just was not into posing for any photos right before we headed home. I did miss the money shot, the "group hug" photo of the three of them...This outfit was Maddie's 7th outfit change of the evening. We DID go upstairs and help clean-up Maddie's room (successfully) before we left.

Charlotte and her Prince Charming...

Why I smiled today...Rachel and the kiddos came over after work/school so Rachel and I could make 75 "paper clip angels" (Charlie is wearing one around her neck) for her work holiday giving campaign. Maddie informed me that Matthew & Charlie would be getting married (someday)...They did give each other quite the hug and smack on the lips when they said goodbye...Neither of them can get married until they are at least 30...So 27 1/2 years from now, who knows? Thanks for coming over tonight you guys. We all had a blast!

Almost got all three of them looking at the camera at the same time!
