Yahoo...the sun is shining....

on this Memorial Day...with a weekend of nothing but clouds and rain, a lot of sun this afternoon is just what we all needed!

Happy times this afternoon at our local park...enjoying it while we can. This is the first year since 1991 that Portland hasn't had an 80 degree day before June...we need more sun and warmer days!

Why I smiled today...afternoon fun at the neighborhood park!

Fun at the park...

After we got home from work/school, the three of us piled in the car and went to a bigger park/playground not too far from our house. The kiddo loved it, mommy froze because despite the gorgeous/sunny weather today, it was a wee bit cold (east winds were fairly strong) and mommy didn't bring a coat (bad mommy)...we had fun and it's SO NICE to see Mt. Hood looking so beautiful!!!

What a beautiful December day...

It was pretty cold this morning, but WOW, what an amazingly gorgeous day today (and it's not windy--yet)...After I picked up Charlotte from Nana & Papa's house, we came home, ate a quick bite for lunch and headed down to the neighborhood park...Now the yard maintenance folks are blowing off all the leaves outside and I can barely hear myself think...But at least it's SUNNY!!!

Love that park...

I don't think we realized just how much we missed living right down the street from our little neighborhood park until recently. Every time we are driving home or leaving home "park peez mommy/daddy?"...
