New Year's Eve...

Pedicures with Grandma Cina and Great Grandma Charlotte...

It was cold and very rainy today in AZ.  We took the grandmas to get pedicures.  Then, after dropping Great-Grandma off at home, the 5 of us headed south for the rooster ranch, only to find out they were closed due to weather.  So we just kept driving to Tuscon for ice cream at Culver's.

Sea Life in Tempe, AZ...

We had a great time today at Sea Life in Tempe in the Arizona Mills Mall.  Not sure what department store it use to be, but this was a great find!  We took a small behind the scenes tour before we walked through.  We'll definitely go back again.

Joe's Farm Grill in Gilbert...

This place was featured on Guy's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.  HIGHLY recommend.  We hadn't seen this episode, but my father-in-law had friends who had been there before.  Two big FORKS UP!!!

I had the grilled Peanut butter and banana split sandwich with awesome rosemary fries!

Beautiful trees that had signs posted all over NOT to climb on them.  We know why, they were SO tempting to climb!

Elk, lots of elk...

When we were getting ready to leave the park, there was a long back-up and we couldn't figure out WHY?  Then we finally got to the hold up. Elk, lots and lots of elk on both sides of the road and of course drives being careful in case they darted across the road and also to take photos of them.  SO COOL!!

Grand Canyon...

We left at O-Dark thirty.  It was over 270 miles to get there.

Kiddo did a little sleeping int he back seat of the mini-van.

Last time I was here was 45 years ago.  My folks left me with the pilot's wife as they flew into the canyon.  NOW I can officially say I've been here as an adult and will remember it forever!
