Fraternal tiny turtles...

not identical...tiny differences and OH aren't they cute! ;-)

An engineering at work asked me to make them for a baby shower next month. I think the mommy & daddy are gonna love the turtles and I can't wait to see their baby boys once they are born.

Around our home tonight...

Some serious creative goodness happening...all three of us being crafty together!

Charlotte with her colored pencils. Victor with paints and war gaming figures. Kathy and her crocheted turtles. It's great to hang out together as a family and getting "crafty with it"...

The family that "crafts together, stays together"...Kathy-ism...

Getting old...

A group of 40 year old girlfriends discussed where they should meet for Dinner.

Finally it was agreed upon that they should meet at the Ocean View restaurant because the waiters there had tight pants and nice buns.

10 years later at 50 years of age, the group once again discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally it was agreed that they should meet at the Ocean View restaurant because the food there was very good and the wine selection was good also.

10 years later at 60 years of age, the group once again discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally it was agreed that they should meet at the Ocean View restaurant because they could eat there in peace and quiet and the restaurant had a beautiful view of the ocean.

10 years later, at 70 years of age, the group once again discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally it was agreed that they should meet at the Ocean View restaurant because the restaurant was wheel chair accessible and they even had an elevator.

10 years later, at 80 years of age, the group once again discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally it was agreed that they should meet at the Ocean View restaurant because they had never been there before.

Lazy Sunday afternoon...

Charlotte still isn't totally up to par (she's been under the weather since Friday). She finally said she'd like to go to the library and pond to feed the ducks, so late this afternoon we did.

She was a trooper and walked the entire figure 8 loop behind the library and THEN we went inside to get a couple of books and DVDs. You can see that she's feeling better.

Thankful for a sunny Sunday...the rain is coming back to night and lasting all week (shocking --- NOT)!

Kooza...

What a great afternoon at Cirque Du Soleil's Kooza! We went this year with my mom and dad. Like the last 2 times we've seen it "under the tent", Cirque Du Soleil never fails to hit it out of the park!

If they come to your city, you MUST go!

Thanks mom and dad for a great evening! Thank you Carlee, for babysitting (I mean hanging out) with Charlotte.

Letty's Bag at the Great Wall...

Rosemary & Arnold made it back safe and sound earlier this week from their trip to China!

I had made her a Letty's Bag for their trip and in return, I just wanted photos of her and the bag in China!

I'm confident that this is the first Letty's Bag to venture into PRC (People's Republic of China)...

A day at the zoo...

Charlotte and 20 of her classmates, along with 11 parents and two teachers went to the zoo today! The weather was great, all the kids were pretty darn good and Victor was totally pooped out when he got home!

Not sure how it happened, but Charlotte and Cassandra got paired up again on this field trip. They make a good team!

YEAH for field trips and happy little 3 and 4 year old kiddos!

Thanks Dean & Nicki...

I love all the goodies in my basket! ;-)

Pioneer Woman...

Charlotte and I attempted to meet The Pioneer Woman tonight at Powell's (Beaverton)....we got there before she made her appearance and there were just a few (HUNDRED) folks ahead of us...that many people and a 3-year old...not a good waiting combo! Oh well...glad she made it to Beaverton...lucky folks that got to meet her!

Free is a very good price...

Charlotte and I headed over to hang out with M, M & R today...we went to the FREE showing of Ponyo at the Beaverton Library. It was an interesting movie (can't really say I would recommend even renting it??)...the kids seemed to enjoy it...I wasn't sure where it was going (plus it didn't help that it seemed a little out of focus)...FREE is a very good price and the kids had fun!

After that, we went back to their place and hung out playing in the neighbors yard....they apparently have a new neighbor that doesn't like kids playing outside (yelled over the fence twice at the kids to be quiet)...it was 4pm in the afternoon and they were just playing...oh boy....

Anyway, another great day with the M&M!

Alice in Wonderland the musical...

Charlotte and I had the BEST time tonight. Thanks to a recommendation from a high school friend on Facebook, we went to see Alice in Wonderland (the musical) at one of the near by middle schools. It was WONDERFUL!! The kids were terrific, the costumes were amazing and it was just plain FUN!

Charlotte loved it and at the end (while they were still performing), Charlotte took off to go run up on stage to meet Alice...luckily I caught her before she took off....she did get to meet the student that played Alice after the performance and the girl even gave her a hug!

Don't under estimate the power of middle school student performances. Seriously, I haven't laughed this hard (well, since last night when I was having a blast at Relay)...it was really, REALLY a good show!

Why I smiled today....I think our kiddo is bound to be on the stage performing...YAHOO!

First Relay of the year...

Victor, Charlotte and I had an amazing time tonight! After a fun dinner with Susie & Shawn, we headed over to the University of Portland (after picking up Rachel) to attend their Relay For Life.

Our Relay Staff Partner and friend (Dana) was one of the speakers at the luminaria ceremony tonight. She did a fabulous job!

We met up with Mary & Mark, Dana & MJ and hung out for an hour or so...got to watch an amazing band perform and hopefully they'll be able to come to our Relay too!

All in all, it was a wonderful day! Life is good...don't sweat the small stuff and LIVE each day with purpose!

This first photo is of Ashley (Staff Partner for U of P)...love the new t-shirt that MJ brought her back from a Team Captain University in Tillamook...Gotta get us some of these t-shirts to sell!

Fun in the tulip fields...

Charlotte, Victor and I enjoyed the amazing colors and SUN this morning in Woodburn. The flowers are perfect right now and we were smart to go today vs. this weekend....crazy/busy out there even today.

YEAH spring!!!

Facebook is a good thing...

Why I smiled today...Reconnected with another grade school friend from 5th grade. Hadn't seen or heard any updates on how she was doing, but she contacted me today and she still lives nearby!

Yeah for Facebook!
