Michelle's Letty's Bag...

Michelle was our 34th, $1,000 club member of 2010...I've had her bag made forever, but totally spaced she was on Karie's Team...so I'll be getting it to Karie, to get to Michelle tomorrow night!

Two more Letty's Bags done..

Two more for our 2010 $1,000 club members...I'm "this close" to being finished up...two more bags and curtains for Mr. Dean!

Two more finished today...four more to go, PLUS, Dean's curtains...I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it feels GOOD to have the end near!

Why I smiled today (or at least ONE of the reasons)...seriously, JoAnns now carries colored grommets, including PUPRLE!! Hello, RELAY purple!! I think everybody in JoAnns heard me scream in delight! If you have 50% off coupons you don't need, please, save them for me and my grommets!

This bag resides down in the great state of Texas! Trina sent me the fabric and here she is with her LB! ;)

Trina is a friend of Victor's from their days at Doernbecher's...Trina and her family live down in Austin and she just officially launched her own portrait photography business! Her and her hubby Brady took the plunge...so excited for Rocket Queen Photo!

NYC Letty's Bag...

I totally forgot I had this one made (I love the fabric so much), then I saw some fabric that Robin was planning on making a Letty's Bag of and I remembered -- HEY, I have a LB that I made out of that fabric too!

Mary's Penguin LB...

I can honestly say that THIS bag has probably been the one I've been most excited to make. MARY is the reason I started doing Relay back in 2003! Why? She made the ask....simple as that....look at us now, going into our 9th Relay season TOGETHER!!!

Mary was getting a penguin bag, no matter how much money she raised...she doesn't like asking for donations, she just loves to help....this year she made it more personal, asked folks to give when/where they could and $1,000 later, she's a member of the $1k club and I made her this FUN Letty's Bag!

Mary, you are an awesome friend and I wouldn't have found Relay if it wasn't for you...enjoy my friend, enjoy!

Getting my sewing mojo back....

Rosemary & I worked on 3 bags Saturday morning...I totally slacked today and even took a LONG (much needed) nap...then I realized that Miss Mary and I were gonna go see Bakerella tomorrow and I really wanted to give Mary her bag in the morning....here's part of it...I'll post full photos tomorrow night...I know she's gonna love her bag. SO PROUD of Mary (who admits she does not like FUNdraising)....she kicked it into high gear and raised over $1,000 this year! Yeah Mary!

Letty's Bags on a cruise...

Got this cellphone photo last night. My friends Jen, Cheryl and Amber are on their way to cruise off the coast of Mexico. Jen had asked me to make the three of them bags in memory/celebration of Grandma Dot's love of butterflies!

Yes, we are nuts!!!

We got 5 more bags done in 5 hours tonight (a new record) and NO we weren't rushing it...just plugging along. Monday night we got 2 done, before Rosemary tried to kill herself (joking), by dropping my sharpest pair of scissors on her leg and bleeding all over the place...fortunately not on the Letty's Bags we were making...

The Letty's Bag factory is CLOSED until a few days after Relay. We've made as many as we are going to...the remaining and future $1k club members will get their bags, just AFTER I've recovered from Relay!

THANK YOU Rosemary for your willingness to always help me out....I get these great ideas, then run out of time, but you ALWAYS are willing to come to my rescue and we have FUN in the process!

First one is en route to Sequim, WA (birthday present for a friend's friend)....the other two will be delivered this morning to Sam & Leann (Relay friends) in "The Couve".

Five on the 5th...

I managed to get all five of these lovely Letty's Bags done TODAY (start to finish)! Just need to sew on the buttons when I can see again.

Since I missed the 4th of July this year (nasty cold kicked my tail yesterday) and I pretty much slept the entire day/evening...I more than made up for it today!

Debbie, Tami, Joyce, Tai & Anne Marie will receive these Thursday night at our last Team Captain meeting before Relay! They have raised over $5,725 for Relay...can't wait to hand them out to all of them. I'm officially caught up with $1K club members bags!

Trina's Letty's Bag...

Her fabric arrived on Saturday, I was so excited to get it...I cut it all up, ironed it onto the fusible fleece last night, then finished it tonight!

Victor is mailing it back to her tomorrow...I think she'll be happy!

Go Green...Letty Bag style...

Managed to get another bag done tonight...my back is finally feeling like letting me sew again! It's a good thing...we are up to eleven $1K members now...more bags to be made!
