Thanks for another great class Karen Russell...

Susie, Capi & I headed down to Salem early this evening for our "10 Reasons" scrapbooking class with Karen Russell. Capi's sisters (Peggy & Sandi) were also in the class with us. As always, it was a great class -- learned a lot, got about 2/3 of my project done and had FUN!!!

Why I smiled today
...If you are the first to dance on a table during one of Karen's classes, you win a door prize. Susie, myself and another gal in the back of the class all got the nerve to do it at the same time...we all won a prize!

Fridays are for FUN -- Thanks Karen Russell

Let me just say that having a Friday off from work is ALWAYS a good thing! This Friday I had a double treat....not one, but TWO classes with Karen Russell at Scrapbook Attack....I've been reading her blog for quite some time and have been admiring her line of scrapbooking papers & embelishments....today, I had the pleasure of spending 9+ hours with her. What a cool person! Fun to be around, talks almost as fast as I do (but you can understand her 99% of the time) and she's SO creative! Doralisa & I took a Photography Q&A class this morning and we were learning so much, that the class decided to just skip doing the actual project box (we got a kit with the class) and just have her talk about photography for 4+ hours...it was GREAT! Now I just wish I had a money tree growing in my back yard so I could buy a decent digital camera that actually can take great photos (without a flash).

The second class, Capi & I took together (Picture This)....we learned how to think outside the box using basic page protectors and make more interactive pages. We also got to play around with non-standard size photos (typically 4" x 6") and got to use 2" x 2" and what would have been a 4" x 12" (if I could FOLLOW directions). This class was GREAT and again, learned a lot and had a FUN time!

Karen also helped me get out of my "I hate rub-on's" attitude and I actually used cool rub-on's that she designed and they WORKED! This photo is of me successfully putting a rub-on..it really is about the quality of the product. Karen's line thru Creative Imaginations is great!

Victor had war gaming tonight, so he dropped Charlie off at the shop (after class)...we hung out for a little while, then we met Capi over at Red Robin for dinner and to talk Relay For Life agendas for the upcoming meetings Thursday. Capi actually got "carded" by our nice waitress tonight....We both thought it was great that she asked her for I.D. (although Capi was a little more shocked than I was) and of course, I had to get a picture of it...we'd been doing scrapbooking stuff all day people!

Oh, and YES, Charlie had a fun time too tonight.....eating Cherrios at Red Robin!
