Fast, faster and OFF...I've been OFF for the past 3 days....I had some spurts of energy earlier today, but they were short lived. This silly cold has thrown me for a loop (obviously since I havcen't posted anything since Thursday night). Just thankful it was this weekend and not next...too many fun things on the docket coming up...
Can't believe January is already over?!? How did that happen?
Looking forward to a FUN-filled February. Birthdays, Valetines Day and FUNdraisers, oh my!
So far 2010 has been a GREAT year!
This is THE place to find out all about what's happening in Cinaland with Charlotte, her family & friends all over the United States and beyond...

A great quote...
"Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen." ~ Conan O'Brien
I read this today about his last show Friday night. I'm glad that HE took the high road. Although I was never up late enough to watch him on the Tonight Show, the Jay Leno show was a bit flat for me when I did watch it...
Conan and his staff took the high road and I'm glad the "drama" is over....if nothing else, the last 2 weeks of this have helped put a little humor back in the world during such tragic times in Haiti.

More fun times tonight with T&L...
We had another great day. Dance class in the morning, then Charlotte and I ended up both taking a 2+ hour nap this afternoon (even though the sun was out)...we ended the evening up at mom & dad's for a yummy dinner and some good laughs...
Love having Uncle T & Aunt L around...glad they made the trek down here, even if it was just for 48 hours!

Uncle T. & Aunt L. are in da house....
Fun times with 2 of the Three Little Rusts...
Jen, Luke & Cate (2 of the Three Little Rusts) came over today for play date for the kids and sewing time for Jen & Kathy...Jen & I both have Fridays off.
The kiddos did great, but Jen and I really did want to get sewing done.
Thankfully Victor stayed around to help keep them out of mischief, so Jen and I could actually sew.
We didn't get as much done as we would have liked, but we had a good time and THAT'S what matters.
Thanks you guys for coming over...we need to keep doing this on a more frequent basis.

Vancouver's Relay For Life Kick-off...
Fun times tonight over the river in "The Couv"!
Here are Libby & Karla before the festivities began. Libby did a great time not only sharing her Survivor journey story, but also little 5 year-old Hailey's story! YEAH LIBBY!

Leann & Sam, celebrating more birthdays!

These guys KNOW how to FUNdraise. They even had a silent auction at kick-off and raised over $950.00 -- Cool beans!
Yeah Vancouver! Can't wait to enroll as a member of the CPS-3 (Cancer Prevention Study-3)that will be taking place at Vancouver's Relay, July 17th. They are hoping to get 200-250 folks that will make the 30-year commitment to complete periodic follow-up surveys at home. Many of us from Beaverton will be making the trek to Vancouver this summer to enroll in the study...let me know if you want more information about it....together we ARE making a difference in finding a cure!

My first "Braided" scarf is done!
I'm doing the "happy knitting dance" tonight...yahoo...started this earlier this week...completed it tonight! It's probably a little shorter than it should be, but that's the yarn I had...love it. Super cute/fun (EASY) to make...love the braided effect and LOVE the yarn by Spud & Chloe!
The "Braided" pattern courtesy of Susan B. Anderson for Spud & Chloe...check out Susan's Blog AND Spud & Chloe blog. Love her designs, her photos and her work!!! What an AWESOME thing, to get paid to do what you really, REALLY love...knit & design knitting patterns!
Such a wonderful feeling COMPLETING another project!

Anatomy of a Letty's Bag...
Got another one done today...Sshh....can't tell you who it's for...somebody asked me to make it for an upcoming birthday of a sister...I'm sure that sister will love it.
I took a few photos of the making of this bag...I still need to take photos of all the steps...
I also purchased an entire bolt of fusible fleece today at JoAnns at 50% off...got enough to make another 10 bags...yahoo!

Lunch out with friends....
Dad called and invited us out for lunch...Rachel, Matthew & Maddy joined us...FUN! Thanks mom & dad!
Now we are all over at our place hanging out....Rachel & I decided Sundays together and the kids together are a GOOD THING! Since both Tim & Victor work for 12+ hours on Sundays, getting the 5 of us together on Sunday is our "sanity" time...

Thankful Thursday...
What a busy/fun week...I've had something every single night after work and still have two more days left this week (all great stuff), but whew, I'm pooped!
The catastrophic earthquake on Tuesday in Haiti has really got me thinking and saying lots and lots of prayers. It also has me focusing on my word in 2010 "Happiness"!
