Volunteering at the Lacamas 1/2 marathon...

A whole bunch of us, like 20+ volunteered this morning in Camas.  The annual Lacamas 1/2 marathon and 5k was happening.  We all arrived by 6:15am.  The best part, besides hanging out with awesome people and cheering on the runners/walkers?  Our Portland To Coast Team got a donation of $1,300 for the American Cancer Society for volunteering!  YAHOO!!
Sarah, Libby, myself and Jill.  Our version of "Abbey Road"

Part of Team Slow Pokes and Team Slow Pokes Too volunteering...

Volutneering at Intel...

Spent Tuesday during lunch and Thursday night (10pm-12am) with Ms. Laura in our cafe at work - asking folks to sign banners to our troops over in Afghanistan. Laura is such a hoot! Love working with her and hanging out...we were both VERY loopy by the time midnight came around...but love doing volunteer work and seeing our night shift folks that I rarely get to see in person...normally just emails that pass in the night. Love Intel and giving back to the community! I am VERY blessed to have called this my company for 23+ years!

Portland Marathon (volunteering)...10/9/11..

This is SO me next year, with my dear friend Mary!!! She did the 1/2 marathon -- YOU GO GIRL!!!

Also got photos of Bill & Hai...saw lots of other peeps, but didn't manage to capture photos all of them...did get HUGS from all three of these buddies!

Jessica & I volunteered for 6+ hours at the first and last water station on the Portland Marathan 26.2 miles and 1/2 marathon 13.1 miles under the Morrison Bridge. We had a blast...nothing better than passing out water, giving high fives and cheering all these amazing folks on.

2012 I am so WALKING the 1/2 with Mary!!!

Intel Involve's "I'm In" campaign...

Here's the deal....I don't normally do shout outs, unless I really, REALLY like what I'm giving a shout out to....In this case I really, REALLY LOVE the new branding campaign and idea behind Intel Involve's "I'm In" campaign!!! This week in cafes at the Intel Oregon campuses, employees can sign an "I'm In" card showing their commitment to volunteerism in 2011! We will be putting these signs up in the cafe -- can't wait to see how many we get!

The awesome cookies are from Beaverton Bakery - they ROCK!

You don't have to work at Intel to volunteer...ANYBODY can volunteer! What are YOU doing in your local area to make a difference? So many great non-profits, schools and local organizations that can use your help! Do something and Give BACK! :) "I'm In"
