Joe's Farm Grill in Gilbert...

This place was featured on Guy's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.  HIGHLY recommend.  We hadn't seen this episode, but my father-in-law had friends who had been there before.  Two big FORKS UP!!!

Pinterest meets Aloha...

It doesn't happen very often that I'm truly THIS excited about an idea that I helped with....

Our group at work one an award and since we have so many employees (over 800) the recognition was a luncheon vs. giving everybody cash and a plaque.  We do lots of lunches at work, but my boss wanted it a little extra special.   So I met with our Executive Chef and one of the chefs under him that happens to be Hawaiian.   I gave them my budget, told them what we kinda wanted to do (sans the actual pig on a platter) and they put together a yummy meal, ALL Hawaiian!!! 

The ONLY thing I really wanted was the decorations stepped up a notch and a pineapple tree! 

I've discovered Pinterest about 1.5 years ago and when I saw the pineapple tree, I KNEW that someday we'd have to do something with it in Aloha (where I work).  YESTERDAY was that day!   When Victor texted me from the cafe saying that "your trees look great"...I was like "TREES" plural?   I couldn't get the grin off my face yesterday....so fun!!!

Christmas Eve 2011...

Continuing our annual tradition, we had Victor's war gaming buddies and families over Christmas Eve. Victor made lasagna, meat balls and sausages! YUMMO! I tried my best impression of Martha Stewart and made penguins apps!

Mad Greek Deli rocks!!!

Victor and Charlie made a wonderful Moroccan chicken & lentils (from the Eat-Clean Diet Cookbook) for dinner. THANKS you two! Charlie can even say Moroccan...listen to the video below.

Farm fresh eggs...

Received these eggs from one of the managers at work that supplies my boss with about six dozen every few weeks for his family. He wanted to know if I wanted to give them a go, so here they are on our kitchen counter after receiving them 14 hours ago...we'll be cooking up a storm for breakfast come Friday and I'll let you know how they turn out...

IN-N-OUT BURGER...

Spent a long day in the car driving to Dateland, AZ....not much there (except for really great Date Shakes)....Drove back and spent some time at Great Grandma's house. Then we decided to try out the brand new IN-N-OUT BURGER in Casa Grande. Grandma & Great Grandma had never had never been before. I think they both liked it...Little Charlotte enjoyed the stickers!

No photos today...lots of driving...we are winding down our visit and will be flying home to Portland tomorrow...We've had a wonderful time! Thank you Papa & Nana Cina for taking such great care of us and little Charlotte while we were here! ;-)
