Today was a HUGE victory!!! Charlotte bought her very first sewing machine AND she had the patience of a saint to listen/learn and practice lots of straight lines for hours!!! She made her very first project, Olaf pillow case!!! So proud of her!!!
This is THE place to find out all about what's happening in Cinaland with Charlotte, her family & friends all over the United States and beyond...

More good stuff...
Lots of stuff going on this week thru the end of the year....
Had lunch with my friend Betty today. She had made the CUTEST little Wee Bee jumper and the denim is from a pair of old jeans she picked up at Goodwill....LOVE IT! Isn't the bee just the cutest!
When we got home, the 5 boxes from our Pampered Chef FUNdraiser had arrived..next up tonight...sorting and dividing up the orders....we raised $324 for Relay with this FUNdraiser...YAHOO!!

Wee Bees casserole carrier...
Totally loving the casserole carrier that my friend Betty made me. She's opened an www.etsy.com shop, BettysSewFun. Betty had done the embroidery on our S.S. HOPE hats for Relay and was able to digitize the Bee for me....I wanted something Relay purple and I love what she came up with! YEAH for creativity!

Fun times with 2 of the Three Little Rusts...
Jen, Luke & Cate (2 of the Three Little Rusts) came over today for play date for the kids and sewing time for Jen & Kathy...Jen & I both have Fridays off.
The kiddos did great, but Jen and I really did want to get sewing done.
Thankfully Victor stayed around to help keep them out of mischief, so Jen and I could actually sew.
We didn't get as much done as we would have liked, but we had a good time and THAT'S what matters.
Thanks you guys for coming over...we need to keep doing this on a more frequent basis.

I think I'm addicted...
to making Letty's Bags...I started and finished Charlie's bag today. We (SHE) picked out the fabric last night and while she was taking a 2.5 hour nap today, I finished 80% of it. We had to run out late this afternoon and SHE picked out the button for the outside pocket (with a little coaching from me). After she had seen mine, she wanted one too...it's perfect to put her dance class "stuff" in..much more fun than the Freddies bag we've been using.
She was SO excited when I finished sewing the handles...enjoy the little video.
THANK YOU Robin, again, for the wonderful pattern!

My first Letty's Bag...
YAHOO...I finished it tonight, curtain grommets and all! I took a class Tuesday night at Sharon's Attic and got 85% of it done...there is just something so great about FINISHING what you start!
THANK YOU Robin for this great pattern! Robin is my friend Maureen's mother-in-law. Robin and her friend Marilyn are the two behind Two Wacky Women, patterns and quilting retreats. I fell in love with this bag/purse the first time I saw the one Maureen had made and I knew I had to make one myself.
Actually very easy to make and FUN! I've got more of these and the smaller "LLB" Letty's Little Bag in my future!
THANK YOU Robin!

Sew...
I've been fairly busy working on these little surprises the last week or so...trying to get the pattern how I like it (or my sewing seams consistent enough that the coffee cozies fit the way I want them to)...Only 2 of my Committee members could possibly check out the blog before I see them @10:30am, so I'm posting this...Tai is one of them, and she'll be with her Granny today (so I don't even get to see her today)...Dean is the other one and I'm hoping he's sleeping in!
I saw them a few weeks ago and said "I can make these"...I have enough fabric in my stash to last a lifetime...well, except that I didn't have any OSU, U of O, or Seahawk fabric, so 50% JoAnns coupons for that..the rest is from my stash.
Coffee Cozies for a Cure will be the catch phrase..better photos, marketing and lots and lots more sewing is on my horizon...Still deciding on the final price. On www.etsy.com they charge WAY TOO MUCH (but they are selling), so I'm gonna sell them for $3.00 each or two for $5.00. HOPE for the Holidays Expo (giant Relay Holiday Bazaar on Nov. 15th Red Lion @Jantzen Beach hotel) will be the main place we sell them...if you have any special requests, let me know. Super FUN, inexpensive gifts for the holidays! 100% of sales going to Relay For Life of Beaverton.
Amber, one of these little piggies will be in your hands soon....PROMISE!
Blog readers out there...leave me a comment and tell me what you think....
