• Got another good night's sleep!


• That we have central conditioning.


• A hubby that is my rock, sounding board and is brutally honest with me when I need it the most. :)


• Friends that always manage to email/text/call or see me in person when I need it the most...I only wish I could be so good in return!
  


• My parents, my awesome parents!


• My life, my family/friends, my country, my Heavenly Father!
  


• A happy 5-year old who loves water, tests "my patience" and who I can't remember life before having her! :) and actually NOT freaking out that she starts Kindergarten 2 weeks from today....


• Another day of life and trying to make it the best one I can...life is short and oh so precious, gotta make every moment count!

She "graduates" from Pre-K tomorrow afternoon. So thankful that this kiddo loves school so much! Can't wait to see what the next 13 years have in store for her (before her next "REAL" diploma)...

• Another year on the planet -- welcome 2011!
• A kiddo that loves to get her hair cut (bangs are back in control again)!
• Our local library!
• My job and Victor's job!
• Heaters in cars that work (it's been a little chilly around here this week)...
• A kiddo that has decided she DOES like broccoli (at least in Victor's baked ziti)...
  
• Getting to see my brother's family in April...yahoo, plane tickets are purchased!

• Watching Victor and Charlotte play paper/rock/scissors! She's GOOD!
• Fun dress-up clothes and pretending for our little munchkin
• These two...just love them more than anything...we are blessed as a family!
  

Thankful Thursday...

• Fun cellphone photos, that actually turn out halfway decent!
  
• Much needed sleep (yesterday afternoon for 4+ hours) after staying at work too late on Tuesday night


• Rachel and Victor for taking care of "the splinter" that's been in Charlotte's big toe for a little over a week...it wasn't easy listening to Charlotte during the process, but once it was out, she was fine!


• Sunny weather heading our way for most of the weekend!


• Rosemary, for always coming in a saving the day with my wild and crazy Relay FUNdraising ideas....coffee cozies, crocheted turtles and raffle quilts, OH MY! Her & Arnold are heading for China in a few weeks, so excited they are getting to go on this adventure.


• Charlotte being such a good little girl and having no issues with the new class change this week. Seriously, I still can't believe how easy this transition to school last August and now a new class has been...she's a champ when it comes to meeting new people -- YEAH!


• Netflix! We love using them and Victor and I have enjoyed watching the first season of Leverage (normally on TN)...it's a quirkly little show about a group of thieves that are doing good for people in need. Now I really want to go down to downtown Portland and see some of the filming...next time they are down there on a Friday, I'm gonna go hunt them down!


• Mini-quilting retreat next weekend. Almost 48-hours of sewing possiblities. All those Letty's Bags that are in the works will get DONE next weekend!
  
• My parents, for their never ending support and love for us. So glad we have them so close to us and grateful they are willing/able to let Charlotte spend the night if we need them to.


• My hubby Victor, such a wonderful father, hubby and just all around great guy! Love you honey! He is officially a Relay Widower for the next few months..at least on weekends with Relay-related events.

Thankful Thursday...

Lots of great things coming up over the next few weeks that we are really looking forward to! The beginning of February is just a crazy, but GOOD!

• Tax appointment tomorrow morning and YES, I'm looking forward to it!
• Superbowl Sunday -- it outta be a great game!
• My birthday and taking the day off work just for ME!
• Relay For Life of Beaverton's Kickoff Party next Thursday night 2/11 - join us if you are gonna be in town - 7-8pm at Pacific Oncology.
• Victor's birthday and a day of fun with the family!
• Valentine's Day
• Two sets of 4-day weekends
• Parent's Night Out at Charlotte's school -- Date Night for her mommy & daddy!

We've got a few more things going on that I can't blog about (yet)...but I'll have pictures as soon as they happen.

Thankful Thursday...

What a busy/fun week...I've had something every single night after work and still have two more days left this week (all great stuff), but whew, I'm pooped!

The catastrophic earthquake on Tuesday in Haiti has really got me thinking and saying lots and lots of prayers. It also has me focusing on my word in 2010 "Happiness"!

• Thankful for the beginning of birthday season...lots of January and February birthdays to celebrate!
• Thankful for my comfy bed!
• Thankful for some pretty great friends, I am blessed!
• Thankful to have Bonnie back at my campus at work, makes me smile!
• Thankful for an amazing Relay For Life Committee..how lucky am I to get to volunteer with all these folks!?!
• Thankful for the FUNdraising idea (coffee cozies) that just won't go away...more requests coming in...YAHOO!
  
• Thankful for my amazing hubby and the great meals he prepares for us!
  
• Thankful for this little cutie...she's been really good this week (not too many appearances by Sybil)...yeah!

Thankful Thursday...

I haven't done this in a while, but thought today would be a great day to start it up, maybe even weekly???

Things I'm thankful for:

• Summer is still holding on...85 degrees tomorrow and low 90's next week...
• Four day work weeks...they are the best! PLUS, Victor and I still get 2 days (Friday & Saturdays) off together!
• My parents that live so close by and celebrating my dad's 65th birthday this week!
• My cellphone, even though I forgot it at home this morning...
• My blogging & FB buddies, who I know are out there, even if they don't always leave comments...I can feel the love--especially when I was sick last week, didn't blog and people got ahold of me to make sure I was OK--THANKS especially to Eldin!
• My friends, especially those that I don't get to see often enough...I know you are there and I'm grateful for each and everyone of you!
• My Grandma Green for teaching me to crochet when I was 5 or 6 years old...I'm still channeling her, I swear I am, I've been crocheting up a storm and loving it!
• My precious little Charlotte, who has gone 4 for 4 nights with no pull-ups on and NO accidents!!! That and she still LOVES going to school 3 days a week for 10 hours--THANK HEAVENS!
• Living in Oregon and only being a little over an hour from the beach...I think a drive to Cannon Beach is on tap for tomorrow...
• My hubby...it took us 36 years to find each other, but he was SO worth the wait!
• My life...pretty darn lucky girl I am...I don't take one minute for granted and thank God everyday that I'm still around for the party...life's precious, gotta grab the bull by the horns and make the most of everyday--I'm doing my part and hopefully making a positive influence on those I meet!

**Note: Super Deluxe is a phrase that my work friend Mani, who ironically is back at Intel now, coined and it stuck with me years ago. Mani & Victor now get to cross paths in the fab weekly.
