Saturday was my 45th birthday! We drove to Northern Vegas and met Michael/Danielle, Dana/Diane and Damien/Sharean/Amelia at "The Cracked Egg" for brunch! It was so GREAT meeting everybody that I'd been hearing all about. Couple of hours wasn't enough time, but grateful that it worked out!
After brunch we headed north, towards Valley of Fire. We made a pit stop on the local Indian reservation for snacks and a potty break. Apparently this is THE place to get fireworks year round! We resisted the urge...
Victor had been wanted to take Charlie and I to Valley of Fire, it was AMAZING!!
After a few hours we headed south towards Lake Mead. We went there to feed the carp popcorn! It was awesome!
Not too far away is Hoover Dam...unfortunately by the time we got there, the visitor center was already closed and we couldn't park anywhere near the dam to look over the edge. We ended up going across the bridge, then back across the dam close to sunset.
My request for birthday dinner? In-N-Out of course!
Back to drop off the rental car at the hotel, then cab ride to the Freemont Street Experience. We got lucky and spotted a Starbucks with seats outside, so we got a tea, hot chocolate and sat and people watched waiting for the next show. It was FUN!

From there we took a taxi back to the strip so we could see the water show at the Bellagio. It too was amazing.
