What a GREAT Weekend......

Can anyone say "Ferris Bueller" hair?? ANYONE, ANYONE.....

Charlie LOVES getting carried up the stairs and having one of us follow behind....she giggles and giggles and giggles at us!

Who needs an anti-gravity plane..I've got daddy to help me with that!

Phil & Doralisa stopped by the house to see us on their way home from a nice Sunday afternoon bike ride (DL will probably kill me for posting this photo)....oh-well!!! ;-)

Mommy went down to Salem early Saturday morning to attend 48-hour scrapbooking crop by Scrapbook Fever. She only stayed until Sunday morning....She ran out of projects and was a little home sick for daddy & me! This was the scene when mommy got there Saturday...there were 50 spots in all for these ladies...some were pretty crazy and stayed up ALL night Friday night....got some rest, then again all night Saturday.

Capi's sister Sandy had reserved our spots...she'll save 6 next time (so DL & Susie can go too). We got lots of cool stuff and they fed us too!
Capi worked on her "May Day" cards she sent out for Relay For Life.

Here's all the loot mommy brought home with her today.

Look what mommy won......A Sizzix Big Shot -- SO COOL! It's a die cutting machine (she has a smaller one, but this is the big kahuna model). Mommy really wanted one, but didn't buy one at the Creative Keepsake Convention in March....it was meant to be since she WON one Saturday afternoon. Mommy also got to use the Cricut that Capi won at the same event last year!

Ava, Charlie & Bella too!

Here's Ava...just as happy as can be...her & Charlie got to hang out tonight while Karen (Ava's mommy) held a Demarle Rendez-Vous Party at their home. Karen made tons of amazingly yummy treats for us to eat -- while Ava, Gabe, Dave, Victor and Charlie hung out in the living room.

Later, Bella (the wonder dog) got to join us and Charlie loved following her around the house. Bella has to be the best kid-friendly dog I've ever met! Thanks Karen & Dave for a wonderful evening!

Charlie had fun today -- tugging around the Emergency Kit that I won at Intel last year at our Annual Safety Fair.....She's a Safety Girl!

Charlie & Peyton at the WeBees Gathering Last Night

Here are Charlie & Peyton (Patti's grandson) who is will be nine months old in May (when Charlie is a year).....Can't tell much difference in their size, except Peyton IS taller than Charlie.
One other thing to note...Charlie had a minor meltdown last night....I took her inside, then went to grab more stuff from the car and she lost it....Love the "clingy" stage she's going thru right now (NOT)...hopefully it will be short lived!

Fun at the Oregon Zoo!

It was TOO nice today in Portland not to go do something outside. Victor & I decided to make a quick trip to the zoo and enjoy some sunshine (since it rained most of this past weekend). Charlotte was more interested in walking around in the grass than seeing any of the animals.......

I Wear My Sunglasses at Night......

Charlotte's First Clown & Arby's Mitt

We now have an Arby's in Hillsboro....very cool and they have Diet Dr. Pepper! We stopped by for sodas this afternoon (after a fun day of scrapbook shopping) and Charlotte got to see & visit with her first clown (she didn't freak out at all)! We also asked the manager of Arby's if their mascot "The Mitt" could come in from the pooring rain and have a picture taken with Charlotte, Doralisa & myself.....A fun time was had by all!

Fun at Mommy's Stamp-n-Chat

Here are Charlotte & Maria hanging out together. Maria is my friend Bonnie's daughter. Maria was so great entertaining & reading to Charlotte tonight! Maria got to stamp & make 4 of her own cards tonight!

Aunt Susie got Charlotte the cutest bumblebee hive & bees plush toy. All the bees are numbered, as are the beehive openings, so when Charlotte is older she can work on learning her numbers! Thanks Suz!

Happy trails.....yes, someone has mastered climbing our entire set of stairs. She only does this when one of us are right behind her, so we can catch her when she tries to do a backwards swan dive. Go Charlotte, GO....

Relay For Life at Viriginia Tech - tonight!

This is a blog entry not about Charlotte. The events on Monday morning at Viriginia Tech have continued to make me ask WHY?? Why do bad things happen to good people?? I'm a firm believe that everything happens for a reason....most of us will never know WHY.

I had the pleasure of speaking at the Clark County Washington- Relay For Life TCU (Team Captain University) last night. I had the FUN portion of the program...talking about FUNdraising!

Anyway, after we were almost finished with the program, I found out that TODAY 4/20/07, the Virginia Tech Relay For Life WILL happen! Their planning committee met and decided this event was something that MUST go on! In the worst of times, we can all still come together and do good things for a great cause!

One of the victims of Monday's tragedy was Caitlin Hammaren (Relay For Life participant). When I got home, her fundraising website had $1,700 on it...as of 5 minutes ago $6,465.00....people are getting the word out and donations from all over the US are pooring in. So, if you read this blog entry today....think about how blessed you are in your life, remember all those effected by the events on Monday, those touched by cancer and maybe go out to Caitlin's website and donate a few dollars to something she believed in - Relay For Life - in honor of all those whose lives were taken too soon.

Everyone have a great weekend!

Post #200---We've Come a Long Way.....

Hard to believe this is post #200....I started this blog on April 10, 2006....fast forward 199 posts later and Charlotte is almost a year old.....I never posted this photo of her, but many of you have seen it and it's one of my favorites.....This photo was taken when she was less than an hour old (before she'd even be weighed or measured). This is our wonderful doctor (Dr. Korman)....she made our monthly/bi-monthly/weekly appointments a joy to go to! We should have known Charlotte was gonna be a happy kid....she's happy even when she's less than an hour old.....life is good!

Saturday Night at Babies-R-Us -- Eleven Month Photos

We had a 7pm appointment tonight...got there early, they were ready for us..so we had fun getting lots of HAPPY poses of the pud! The photographer was the only photographer there who hadn't met Charlotte before...it was a great 30 minutes of laughter and FUN...just 4 short weeks and we'll be back for her ONE YEAR photos!

These were a couple that I took while we were deciding what other poses to put her in.

She crashed on the way home......typical, she really is my kid!

We also found out that one of her eight month photos is in the idea book now at the store.....
Remember this pose...what a crack-up she is!

Relay Baby and Future Soccer Star???

We had a good time last night at the Old Spaghetti Factory. About 17 of the Team WeBees for a Cure were able to get together and visit and talk about Relay (which is only 70 days away)...I knew getting an eleven month old to pose for pictures was hard...try getting her and a 3 year old at the same time?? NOT.....That's why the photos with Charlotte & Amy are of them dancing.....Like Charlotte's new "Relay Baby" outfit? I just couldn't resist. Victor bought her a soccer ball today when they were out..should couldn't decide if she wanted to kick, sit or chew on it!

Guess Who is Eleven Months Old Today???

Hard to believe it....she's almost a year old....boy, time sure flies when you are having fun!!! I took over 100 photos tonight...but none of them had her actually looking at the camera......she was having too much fun shredding the Easter bag that her new buddy "Scrappy Duck" came in.....

Happy Easter 2007

I'm a day late, but better late than never. We had Easter dinner with Doralisa & Phil at a restaurant in Aloha called Cooper Mountain Bar & Grill. Doralisa & Victor both had really good halibut stuffed with crab...yummy! Not your traditional Easter meal, but the company was great! Doralisa gave Charlotte this cute little ducky we named "Scrappy Duck"...Charlotte was more interested in trying to chew on his bill than anything else. Charlotte has also picked up a new trick...DANCING! Unfortunately she dances like mommy & Elaine from Seinfeld. I'll try to get photos of her this week with her "dancing" pose of hands in fists with her thumbs sticking up and kinda wiggling back & forth..it's quite the comical scene!
