Man, just when I thought I didn't have it in me..watch out world, even being a single mommy this weekend (Victor is up north with the guys war gaming), I got a TON of stuff done today...
First up, finished my mom's long awaited "turtle" Letty's Bag...Charlotte was SO excited to give it to her. We went up to their house so I could borrow the Yukon and mom & dad could watch her for a couple of hours. Thanks mom & dad for hanging out with Charlotte and the yummy strawberry shortcake.
THANK YOU Bev, Gayle, Linda and Patricia for all your help filling up the Yukon with garage sale items for next weekends BIG Relay-wide rummage sale...we've got tons of great stuff to sell.
After we left my folks, we picked up Rosemary and went to Craft Warehouse (who are having a 50% off one item with coupon sale) and picked up the material for the back of the Relay raffle quilt.
THEN, we headed over to Tim and Rachel's for game night, but stopped by Denise/Stephanie's home first to take photos of the AWESOME play structure that their Relay Team (Corky's Pirates) are raffling off. $20 per change, only 600 tickets being sold. The house is 6'x8' and 9' high with a loft. If you want a chance or two, let me know, I'm helping them sell the tickets.
After that we went over to Rachel/Tim's neighbors (our friends DT & Phong) who just had their second daughter, little Thien-Lan, who is just as adorable as her older sister Thien-Mai. Her family is all from Vista, CA (where my brother's family lives), so we got to meet her folks, her sister's family and a lot of their friends and eat LOTS of yummy food!!!
Then we moved the party of to Rachel & Tim's place...Dean & Nicki (and the doggies), Gwen & Scott and the girls, Bill & JoAnn along with Alina (from our Relay Committee) and Amanda (friend from work) all came over....poker playing and other fun games...It was Aspen's 8th b-day a couple of weeks ago, so we got to celebrate 8 years of Aspen too!
It was a great day. We miss Victor, but he's having a blast with the guys and will be back tomorrow night...I love days like this...full of good times, friends, family and even some chores thrown in the mix too!
