100 days of Kindergarten...

February 28th was her 100th day of kindergarten.

 To celebrate, each student had to bring 100 of something. We chose BUTTONS and she counted them quite few times, until she got it JUST right! They made crowns that went up by tens and spent the day celebrating the number 100!

Can't even believe the school year is almost over....she LOVES school!

Catching up -- Her Leprechaun trap...

I'm a wee bit behind on my blogging. Between Facebook and this blog, I kinda run out of steam. Really though, THIS BLOG is way more important to me and I need to keep it up!

Jackson's school auction...

Victor and I had a great time tonight at Charlotte's school auction. Lots of people there and we were able to sit next to one of her classmate's parents. We bid on quite a few items, but WON the one I really wanted...her class's art project. When we got home, we had Charlotte close her eyes and then surprised her with it...she was thrilled and had to count all the crayons and show us where she signed her name. This is something we will cherish always!

Star student of the week...

Each kiddo got to be "Star Student" of the week....Charlotte's was the week before Thanksgiving....They got to have a big poster about them & their family, along with bringing the bear home...fun times!

Monday awesomeness...

Turned out to be another GORGEOUS day in the PNW!!! :)

After work/day care, Charlotte and I went to the library for some books/DVDs and a walk around the pond so I could take some photos of her (with my little point and shoot camera that I LOVE)...love this weather, still can't believe it's been so nice...YEAH for Fall!

Short school week and parent/teacher conference...

Charlotte only had school Monday/Tuesday this week. Tonight we had her first parent/teacher conference. It went well...no surprises. Charlotte loves school...she does have ants in her pants there too (no surprise). We had a good discussion with Mrs. Davis on things we can work on with her at home to help keep her challenged...we also got to see her writing journal and talk about her interaction with other kids. Mrs. Davis was surprised that she is an only child, she doesn't have typical traits of any only in the classroom (that's a good thing)...

Mrs. Davis is also expecting her first child, so we know that she will only be Charlotte's teacher through February. It's gonna be a very GOOD year for all of us!

Third week of school...

Charlotte's Fun Run...

Charlotte's elementary school only has TWO fundraisers a year. The fun run that was held last Friday and a silent auction night in March. YEAH for us not having to sell a bunch of stuff that we don't need...

Charlotte walked/skipped/ran 40 laps in an hour...she ROCKED it!

We didn't set an actually $$ goal, but we'll take any donations we can get!

Sept. 22 & 23...

Charlotte doing "the needle" on Sept. 22nd and today, she's dressed in her pink "running/skipping/walking" outfit for her school's annual Fun Run. She did 40 laps - yeah Charlotte!
